Black friday
is always a marathon shopping event for me and my family. We all pile into the car early in the morning and drive to Charlotte, NC to visit Concord Mills Mall. This year Jason went with me and met up with his brother Stephen (who still lives in the outer banks of NC). We don't get to see him a lot throughout the year so this was nice. We also had lunch with Jason's Grandmother who lives in Concord and this Uncle Mike and his wife and 4 kids.

After a long 10 hour shopping expereince where I took over 300 photos and got LOTS of inspiration, but no actual shopping done, we finally got home. Went to bed at 8PM. I think that explains the day in a nutshell.

We were both pooped but no one would carry me.
Tonight after another day of shopping the whole family will be hitting the Riverbanks Zoo for the Lights Before Christmas.

I'm thankful for my four legged children, my parents, my grandparents, my friends who I never get to see and the ones that are always around. I'm thankful for my car, my house, my clothes, my computer, the Internet, cameras, food, sharpies, cupcakes, Wild Wing Cafe, Starbucks, pedicures, debit cards, my job, flip flops, pools, rain, pansies and tulips, duvets, Sunday mornings, pillow talk, 409, aunts, uncles and cousins, rainbows, stickers, canvas, paint, and much much much much ( moocho much) more things that have blessed my life.

Daily Catch-Up

Ok, so how long is it supposed to take you to get back into your normal groove after you've been gone a week? Too long for me, I missed getting on the lists for the handmade ornaments swap. There are a couple of these going on this year. You can find info on a couple here or here. Also, you can make the pledge to make and buy handmade this year here.
On the other hand, I am in the whirlwind process of cleaning my house so it shines before I have company over the Thanksgiving holiday. It's amazing the clothes that two people can accumulate over the year and I loathe to put clothes away. I am in the process of weeding out the unused clothes which I will be donating to the Goodwill down the street.
